Taking a Look at Translook

Sharon Goh (left in jacket), Marketing Director for Syuen Zens Resources, explaining the features of the Translook showcase to attendees

Malaysian-based Syuen Zens officially launched in Malaysia the Translook range of interactive showcases. Initially unveiled during the PIKOM PC Fair (III) in December, Translook products offer a unique solution for businesses who want to showcase their products in a new way.

The Translook interactive showcases are a means for businesses to put a product into a specialized glass showcase that comes with a touch-panel. The touch-panel is the glass showcase itself, allowing customers to interact with the screen, while the product is seen inside the showcase. Some variants of the Translook interactive showcases also come with turntables, allowing customers to have a 360-degree view of the product.

There are several variants of the Translook showcases available: a basic 19” model, a standard 26” model, a 46” model, and a 55” model that doubles as a fridge. The basic 19” model comes with touch-panel functionality, but does not come with a turntable, while the 26” and 46” models come with touch-panel functionality and the option to have a turntable. The 55” Translook showcase is a specialized solution designed for beverages, so it is basically a fridge retrofitted with Translook's proprietary interactive display system.
