Strife Preview Wows Players
CiB and Asiasoft recently previewed the next-generation MOBA (Massive Online Battle Arena) game Strife, which is being developed by S2Games, the same developers behind popular MOBA game, Heroes of Newerth.
Strife has been designed as a free-to-play MOBA that does not sacrifice gameplay. With over six years of experience in the gaming industry, S2 Games aims to improve its already established MOBA game formula.
"Our philosophy in S2 Games for Strife is to create a MOBA utilizing clean sheet design that will appeal to mainstream audience. We have high expectations of this title, and we need an experienced proven leader in South East Asia to achieve those goals. We are confident that partnering with Asiasoft will propel Strife to a massive audience," said Marc DeForest, Chief Executive Officer, S2 Games.
Among the goals that were noted by Pu Liu, Director of Monetization, S2 Games and mentioned by Ryan Shackelford, Creative Game Designer, S2 Games to improve the MOBA formula include: better teammate cooperation; an improved social system; customizable character progression; deeper lore for each character; and more robust gameplay to provide new and exciting challenges within the arena.
"S2 Games has developed Strife to be a highly accessible an collaborative multiplayers game with sacrificing the competitive aspect found in the MOBA genre. On behalf of Asiasoft, we are delighted to be S2 Games Operations Partner in South East Asian countries and we are looking forward to bring Strife to our audience," said Sherman Tan, Chairman of Asiasoft.
Strife has been scheduled to enter beta in the end of 2013, with a full release scheduled for early 2014.
