Sony Xperia go Now Available at Stores

Sony Mobile Communications has just announced the availability of the Xperia go at all authorized Sony retail outlets nationwide. First announced globally at the end of May, the Xperia go will be available in stores from today - July 10 - onwards at the price of RM999. For a limited time only, it will also be bundled with accessories worth RM87 including a 2GB microSD card and car charger with micro USB cable.

Sleek and stylish, the Xperia go is Sony's smartphone made for extra durability and water resistance. Boasting a scratch-resistant mineral glass display with wet finger tracking, the phone also has the highest level of dust and water resistance in a smartphone with an IP67 rating.

Equipped with a 1GHz dual core processor for blazing fast performance and a 5.5-inch Reality Display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine for razor sharp clarity, the Xperia go is built for consumers to enjoy high quality movies and TV shows without compromise for speed or performance. A 5-megapixel fast capture camera which is capable of going from sleep to snap in just over a second also ensures that you'll never miss the picture perfect opportunity.

While the phone runs on the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS at launch, it can be upgraded to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Available in three colors, the Xperia go can be purchased in Black during launch, White sometime after July 16 and Yellow, which will be made available later in the third quarter of 2012.
