Samsung plans to release a bendable Galaxy Note next year
Samsung has revealed plans to launch a flexible smartphone as part of its Galaxy Note lineup in 2018. Samsung Electronics' President Koh Dong-jin stated that the product will be launched once Samsung solves a few problems, which he didn't elaborated any further. In the past, Samsung showcased YOUM, a bendable display prototype in 2013.
Koh also revealed that Samsung is working on an AI-powered smart speaker in collaboration with auto-systems maker Harman, which the company acquired for a sum of US$8 million last year. The speaker will allow users to listen to music and carry out other tasks by just speaking to it. There is a possibility that the voice-controlled speaker will utilize Samsung's Bixby voice assistant. However, Koh did not specify as to when the product will be released.
