Qualcomm, Akamai Team to Optimize Mobile Browsing Experience

Qualcomm and Akamai has announced that they are entering a partnership to implement new protocol enhancement for mobile devices.

These optimizations will aim to upgrade page performance and publicize greater bandwidth efficiency on mobile devices. The two companies will develop and deliver features to considerably improve Web browsing performance on Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor-based devices accessing content delivered by Akamai's Aqua Mobile Accelerator. They believe that consumers can start take advantage of these optimizations for Android devices in Q4 2012.
