Pioneer Launches New Line of AV And GPS Systems for Automobiles
Just last night, Pioneer launched a whole new line of products including CD receivers, multimedia receivers and also its line of perfect fit navigation systems that come equipped with 5.1-channel AV entertainment.
Pioneer’s line of multimedia receivers include the AVH-X8550BT, AVH-X5550BT, AVH-X4550DVD, AVH-X2550BT and AVH-X1550DVD, which come packed with the usual connectivity options, such as Bluetooth and USB, while adding in support for iOS and Android apps as well.
Pioneer also announced a range of affordable CD receiver that comes in a single DIN or even Double DIN interface. Best of all, these new CD receivers also offer use the voice recognition function on the iPhone 4 / 4S to give instructions directly to the CD receiver.
One of the new innovations that come with these AV car peripherals is the addition of support for Pioneer’s proprietary MIXTRAX technology. On some of the multimedia receivers, you will be able to use the software directly from the console, letting you create a nonstop mix of music directly from your entire music library. Also, there is a Short Playback Mode that will let users choose music playback lengths from 60 seconds all the way up to three minutes.
Pioneer's newly launched Perfect Fit systems are no longer just standalone GPS navigation devices. Although each of the devices in the line comes with Papago’s professional GPS Navigator (Version X8.5) maps, these units also come with a built-in upgradeable 5.1-channel Dolby Digital Decoder, letting you enjoy realistic surround sound even with your existing speakers.
Controlling these unit also becomes easier, thanks to built-in Bluetooth connectivity, allowing consumers to wirelessly stream (A2DP) and control audio (AVRCP) to the system. If you own a Volkwagen Polo or a Toyota Camry, there are also dedicated units that will fit perfectly onto your console, resulting in a lower installation cost.
