Photography Tips and Tricks for Nikon Professional Services Members
Members of the Nikon Professional Services (NPS) recently gathered at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel to take part in a Nikon Professional Workshop to upgrade their skills and get tips and advice from professional photography experts. Comprising members of the press, media, commercial enterprises, studios, event photography and hobbyist among others, the event allowed members to exchange ideas and share their passion for photography with the Nikon crew, as well as get the latest information on Nikon products and photography techniques.

“Teaching opens doors and new possibilities for other photographers, the same way many have done for me,” said Louis Pang, professional photographer and winner of nine top three awards at Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI), who was one of the experts at the event.

“Books have a ton of theory, but it took a lot of trial and error to get to where I am,” added Dr. Teh Ban Hup, practicing pediatrician and avid photographer, who was also another of the experts.
Besides Dr. Teh and Louis Pang, another renowned photographer who shared his expertise was Jim Liaw, who was named International Overseas AvantGarde Wedding Photographer of the Year, and honored a Fellowship from the Masters Photographers Association, United Kingdom for his outstanding photography works. Recently, he was also named the Best Male Photographer by the Wedding & Portrait Photographer, Malaysia.
Established on a global level as a support body for Nikon to provide technical assistance to professional photographers who use their products, Nikon Professional Services strengthens service support in the professional photography segment. Launched in Malaysia via the NPS website two years ago on 20 August, 2010, it is headed by Mahfooz Nabi Rasool, NPS Manager, Nikon Malaysia and assisted by Siew Jun Han, NPS Executive; Koh Kuen Kong, Service Manager; and Decward Chong, Service Assistant Manager.

Formed as part of the value-added services provided through NPS, the team travels throughout the country in its endeavor to provide on-site service and technical support to NPS members, as well as the press and media at selected venues. The team also supports major events where quality photography is emphasized, providing on-site service and technical support.
