Philips Hue is the mood lighting you deserve
Philips Lighting recently introduced the Philips Hue system, a wireless lighting system that allows users to remotely control the color hue of their lights at home from anywhere around the world.
“We at Philips Lighting endeavor to deliver a human-centric approach to our innovations, and Philips Hue is a perfect example as it can be the first step to turn any home into a smart home. Philips Hue can welcome you home and let you personalize them from anywhere,” said Alok Ghose, Regional Managing Director, Malaysia, Singapore and Exports, Philips Lighting.
The Hue system follows the Hue White and Color Ambiance (WACA) range, which allows users to choose from 16 million colors via Philip’s proprietary app or other third-party apps. These lights can also be programmed to change color according to the time of the day, or based on the user’s proximity.
The Hue Starter Kit comes with three WACA bulbs, as well as a Hue Bridge to get you started. The Hue Bridge allows users to connect 50 other Philips Hue bulbs, and up to other 12 switches and accessories.
Besides that, you can opt to use the Hue WACA Light Strip, which also connects to a Hue Bridge to light up longer surfaces like a shelf.
The Hue system adheres to the ZigBee Light Link standard; this allows the Hue system to function alongside other ZigBee products and systems, such as Amazon Alexa, Nest, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant.
Philips Hue will be available in a number of packages:
- Philips Hue WACA Starter Kit (RM899)
- Philips Hue Bridge (RM279)
- Philips Hue WACA Bulb 10W A60 E27 (RM279)
