Panasonic Launches New Toughbook CF-C2 for Incredibly Rugged Use
Although Panasonic has never been a key player in the notebook industry, its Toughbook series of options are somewhat of a staple when it comes to hardy, durable notebook devices for outdoor use. And just last Friday, the company launched the latest addition to the series with the Toughbook CF-C2.
Keeping up with the times, this new device will come packed with Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 operating system and even feature a touch screen interface to take advantage of all the convenient gesture features.
With a 12.5” HD display, Panasonic has added a few features to make it ideal for outdoor use, including IPS technology for a wide viewing angle, strengthened glass for added durability and 500 cd/m2 brightness for use even under the sun.
“The new Toughbook CF-C2 is one of the most durable and flexible business convertible PC’s in the Market,” said Satoshi Mizobata, Director of Toughbook Asia Pacific Group, Panasonic Systems Communications Asia Pacific. “With its desktop-like performance coupled with high class connectivity, long time operation and advanced mobility technologies such as enhanced triple hinges and bridge battery, this device is the perfect work companion for field professionals or mobile workers in healthcare, aviation, and automotive industries.
During the launch event, Panasonic also invited Sufian Sidek, the Senior Counsulting Engineer for i20 Water Malaysia to share his experience with the Toughbook series. He reports that with the amount of outdoor use in different weather conditions, nothing in the current market quite compares to what the Toughbook series has to offer. Also, he reports that the battery life far exceeds that of a normal consumer model letting him work much longer in the field.
