NEC: Latin America Begins Cloud Adoption

Tokyo and Buenos Aires – NEC Corporation and Telefónica has just announced a new cloud service called APLICATECA in Argentina, which marks the first step in promoting cloud computing services in Latin America.

The new service utilizes a SaaS business system module, which offers digital applications to their users, allowing them to pay according to the number of licenses that they use.

By offering consumers in Latin America a more efficient model that reduces time-to-market, they will be able to support small and medium sized businesses, while encouraging an open environment for developers to launch new applications.
