mydlink to support Google Assistant

D-Link and Google announced a partnership to provide future mydlink products with Google Assistant.

“D-Link is proud to become Google’s partner and be a part of the increasingly expanding home automation industry. We hope to continue providing our customers with new smart home experiences that encompass more possibilities than ever before,” said Anny Wei, CEO, President, D-Link Corporation.

Google Assistant is a voice assistant akin to Apple’s Siri and Microsoft’s Cortana. By utilizing Google Assistant with mydlink products, users can control their smart home products through voice commands.

Users can initiate the feature by simply saying ‘OK Google’ on their Android smartphones or through the Google Home app. Like other voice assistants, Google Assistant will attempt to answer your questions, manage your tasks, as well as control various mydlink devices in the household.

mydlink is an end-to-end smart home ecosystem that is connected via a cloud-based platform and can be interacted through mobile apps.
