MSI Announces Thunderbolt-ready Z77 Motherboard

MSI recently announced the release of the Z77A-GD80, the world's first motherboard equipped with Thunderbolt interface. Being the fastest data transfer technology yet, Thunderbolt provides a two-way bandwidth that can reach up to 10Gb/s, while still capable of providing power to external devices.

The Z77A-GD80 motherboard supports the new Intel Z77 chipset, which supports the new 3rd Generation Intel Core processors. The motherboard utilizes Military Class III components that have passed multiple rigorous MIL-STD-810G standard tests and are certified by independent third-party laboratories, providing the best quality and stability. The motherboard is also equipped with MSI’s proprietary one-second overclocking OC Genie II and UEFI / Windows dual-graphical interface ClickBIOS II, allowing users to easily achieve high system performance.

MSI previously revealed the Z77A-GD80 motherboard at the 2012 CES back in January.
