Microsoft Introduces API Tracking Apps

Microsoft Malaysia has announced two free apps for Windows 8 and Windows Phone. The new apps, Phaze and My Haze, can be used to check the API (Air Pollution Index) reading of the haze that is currently swirling around the country.

Phaze is an app for Windows Phone that pulls the most current API reading in your area. To put some light on a moody day, the app provides humorous recommendation on how users can protect themselves against the haze. Phaze also informs users on wind directions and when to expect rain as well, ensuring users are always prepared. The app currently only supports the Malaysian region and more countries will be added soon.

My Haze, on the other hand, is supported on both Windows 8 and Windows Phone. This app will check the current API at your location and share to social networks. The application only supports API readings for Malaysia only.
