Maxis Starts the New Year With 4G LTE Service

Yeap, you're not dreaming. 4G LTE Service has finally come to Malaysia.

Talk about starting off the New Year with a bang. Maxis, one of the leading integrated communications service provider, opened up 2013 with the launch of its 4G LTE service in Malaysia. What does this mean, you might ask? It means that Maxis customers will now be able to enjoy exceedingly fast mobile data speeds of up to 75Mbps, with typical average speed of 10 to 30Mbps on the new Maxis 4G LTE network.

“This represents a crucial milestone in Maxis' integrated journey,” said Maxis' Chief Executive Officer, Sandip Das. “Specifically for homes and businesses, Maxis 4G LTE will make possible super fast Internet access outside fiber broadband coverage,” he added.

At present, the new 4G LTE service is available in selected parts of the Klang Valley, which includes Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Damansara Utama, Desa Sri Hartamas, Bandar Puchong Jaya, Bandar Sunway, and Cyberjaya. Maxis made a statement that its new service will be soon be available in other areas very soon. Maxis customers interested in upgrading their current data plans to this fast new plan can walk into Maxis Centres in KLCC and Taman Tun Dr Ismail to sign up for the service.
