Lenovo Launches New ThinkPad and IdeaPad Devices

Lenovo had launched a slew of new ldeaPad and ThinkPad devices in conjunction with the recent Chinese New Year celebrations.

“Our latest products offer more power, simplicity and responsiveness than ever before. Designed for an optimal Windows 8 experience, users can enjoy versatile computing; Intelligent TouchPads for easy interaction; Lenovo Cloud for media sharing between devices; and Windows Store for access to thousands of entertaining and useful apps. These new products, for both the multimedia home user and business executive, embody our commitment to deliver products that reflect the style and energy of our users,” said Khoo Hung Chuan, Country General Manager, Lenovo Malaysia.

The new products that were launched include a total of four IdeaPad Y and Z Series, as well as the ThinkPad X1 Touch Carbon and ThinkPad Tablet 2.

The two IdeaPad Y Series laptops that were released are the IdeaPad Y400 and Y500. The Y Series is designed to be a powerhouse for mobile gaming and multimedia applications. Among the notable features that both the Y400 and Y500 has is the unique UltraBay, an interchangeable bay that allows user to swap out for dual graphics, increased storage capacity and additional cooling systems.

On the other hand, the IdeaPad Z Series laptops like the Z400 and Z500 are more targeted toward mainstream users. Thanks to its usage of 3rd generation Intel Core processors, the Z Series laptops are designed to be slimmer but also performance heavy. Combined with the latest NVIDIA GeForce graphics technology, an Intelligent Touchpad and access to Lenovo Cloud, the Z Series laptop offer users a sleek and yet robust machine.

The other two products that were introduced today include the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch and ThinkPad Tablet 2. The X1 Carbon Touch uses hardy carbon fiber material that gives the laptop extra durability and a 10-finger, 14-inch touch display. Finally, the ThinkPad Tablet 2 is a flexible 10.1-inch tablet that is specifically designed for the enterprises for improved office productivity.
