ILLEGEAR announces its first custom gaming desktop, the TROIKA

For ages, ILLEGEAR has been giving gamers an option for custom notebooks, with a wider range of spec options. Now, the company is extending that to desktops as well with the new TROIKA.

The first thing you’ll notice about the TROIKA is its shape. It looks like three separate cases being joined together. Each cabin houses different sets of components, which ILLEGEAR says help separate parts which generate the most heat. Each  cabin is made with 2mm thick aluminum with sandblasted paint.

The cabin on the top is called the GPU Zone that houses a full-length graphics card, with space for up to three 2.5-inch drives. On the right is the System Zone which houses a mini-ITX motherboard which can be customized to use either Intel or AMD processors, and support up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM. This will also be where you’ll find ILLEGEAR’s own AIO water cooling system for the CPU of your choice. Finally, the Storage Zone on the left lets you fit two more 3.5-inch hard drives, an M.2 PCIe SSD and a thin optical disk drive. Here’s also where you’ll find the ATX-type power supply that powers the TROIKA.

The base configuration of the ILLEGEAR TROIKA comes with an Intel Core i5-7400 processor, a Zotac GeForce GTX 1060 AMP SE 6GB GDDR5, 8GB of Crucial’s DDR4 2,400MHz RAM, a 120GB SATA SSD, and a 1TB 3.5-inch Toshiba HDD. This base setup starts with a price of RM5,999. You can also get a tempered-glass version for RM399 extra. The TROIKA comes with a two-year warranty, with an extra year costing RM199.
