Fujitsu Offers Training for Professionals

Fujitsu yesterday announced that its Global Leaders for Innovation and Knowledge Program is currently accepting applications. The program, conducted by the Fujitsu-Japan-America Institute of Management Science (Fujisu-JAIMS) Foundation, will be conducted via Fujitsu’s multi-campus network that covers four different countries including Japan, Hawaii, Thailand, and Singapore.

The program will be three and a half months long, and is best described as an international leadership management certification program that is positioned as a continual education experience for working professionals.

Charles Lew, President of Fujitsu Malaysia said, “In light of the expansion of business in Asian countries in recent years, the Global Leaders Innovation and Knowledge Program serves as a perfect platform for working professionals from the Asia-Pacific region to learn proper leadership techniques from both theoretical and applied perspectives. We believe this initiative will continue to drive innovation in our region as leaders apply their knowledge to contribute to the betterment of their organizations and society at large.”

This year, the program will feature a Knowledge Leadership Training Course that will be conducted by Dr. Ikujiro Nonaka - an individual who is ranked as one of the “Top 20 Influential Business Thinkers” by the Wall Street Journal.
Among the subjects that this program focuses on include management theory, liberal arts and methodology, and applying the principles into specialized management projects.

The Fujitsu-JAIMS scholarship was established in 1985 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Fujitsu’s founding, with more than 440 professionals trained by this program. This year’s program will be held from April 21 till August 2, 2013. The scholarship covers tuition fees, airfare and living expenses.

Applicants must possess a bachelor degree, a minimum three years of full-time working experience, and a significant level of English proficiency. It is open to applicants from 16 Asia-Pacific countries and has a submission deadline of October 22, 2012. More information can be found on Fujitsu's official website.
