Cooler Master Innovates the LAN Box with a New Form Factor

Cooler Master recently released a LAN box that takes the form factor to a whole new height. Dubbed the HAF XB, this LAN box packs full ATX motherboard support, modular features, portability and excellent cooling.

Taking an innovative diversion from other High Air Flow (HAF) form factors, this LAN box pushes the boundaries of size, allowing support for up to two 120mm fans in the front, as well as a large 200mm on the top, with a 120mm and two 80mm fans on the rear. Strategically placed cable tie areas occupy cable routing zones, which assists in keeping cable clutter to a minimum. Steel reinforced side panel handles also make traveling between LANs and other gaming destinations easier.

Built to cater to the needs of enthusiasts and extreme overclockers, the HAF XB can effortlessly transform between a LAN box and test bench. To do this, a removable motherboard tray design is included to make swapping hardware easy. Removing the outer shell altogether completes its transformation into a formidable test bench for any cooling need.

With up to seven expansion slots, users can assemble multiple graphics card setups like NVIDIA SLI or AMD CrossFire to vastly expand the capabilities of a system. Users can also load up a large HDD or SSD array with support for up to six 2.5-inch drives. This also includes dual X-Dock slots for mounting hot-swappable 3.5-inches or 2.5-inches. A rich front I/O panel also offers access to two super speed USB 3.0 ports, as well as the audio in and out.
