Two of their new offerings launched in Malaysia today include the Canon EOS C500 and EOS-1D C. One of the key features of these stunning devices are the fact that they are capable of recording in 4K resolution without the need for peripheral equipment such as external recorders.

In addition to this, both units also come with Canon Log Gamma, which offers impressive image quality by minimizing both shadow detail loss and highlight detail loss, while providing a high level of grading freedom.

Best of all, since these units are essentially EOS cameras, they will work with Canon’s extensive line of EF lenses, EF Cinema lenses and in the case of the C500, even PL lenses.

In conjunction with the launch, Canon invited world renowned cinematographer Shane Luther Hurlburt and the remarkable visual storyteller, artist and director Po Chan, to inspire the top industry leaders that were in attendance.
