Canon EOS 6D Offers an Affordable Full Frame DSLR Experience

Canon has just introduced its latest full frame DSLR into the market with the launch of the Canon EOS 6D. Hailed as the lightest full frame DSLR yet, the EOS 6D comes equipped with a 20.2-megapixel CMOS sensor and an 11-point AF system.

“As a leading digital imaging company, innovation and quality are two very important characteristics of Canon. The powerful Canon EOS 6D is a ‘must-have’ with its upgraded imaging processor, the DIGIC 5+ that performs up to three times faster than the DIGIC 5, amongst its notable new features!” said Simon Wong, Director of Imaging Communication Products Division, Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.

Boasting a new 11 point autofocusing system, the EOS 6D even trumps the EOS 5D Mk II in this aspect. Even in low light conditions (EV-3 rating), the EOS 6D focuses perfectly and thanks to its iFCL 63-zone dual layer metering sensor, exposure control is incredibly accurate.

In addition to its full frame sensor, one of the more notable features that put it ahead of its competition is the availability of built-in wireless connectivity, allowing users to easily connect via the 802.11 b/g/n standards. With this functionality, the EOS 6D is also able to offer a new EOS remote app, which lets consumers use their smartphone as the camera’s live view screen.

The Canon EOS 6D is now retailing at RM6,399 (Body only), RM8,599 when bundled with the EF24-105 lens kit and RM10,349 when bundled with the EF24-70 lens kit.
