Baidu Cloud services now include NVIDIA Pascal GPUs

Baidu has expanded Baidu Cloud, its cloud services, to include NVIDIA Tesla P40 GPUs and its accompanying NVIDIA deep learning framework. For a quick recap, the Pascal-based Tesla P40 GPU was launched in September 2016, and the GPU was positioned as the company’s deep learning inference offerings. As for the heavy lifting, e.g. deep learning training requirements, NVIDIA has Tesla P100, which is also based on the Pascal GPU.

With Baidu Cloud offering NVIDIA Tesla P40 GPUs and its complementary software framework, which includes NVIDIA TensorRT and NVIDIA DeepStream SDK. There are also supported open-source options like TensorFlow and PaddlePaddle. Enterprise customers of Baidu Cloud Computing will enjoy quick access to the GPU computing platform, allowing them "to convert data into insights that lead to breakthrough products and services." Baidu and NVIDIA have also teamed up to develop an artificial intelligence platform for self-driving cars.
