ASUS RT-AC66U and AiCloud Now Available in Malaysia (Updated)
Update: Revised router model that was launched
ASUS Malaysia today launched the RT-AC66U dual-band wireless-AC1750 Gigabit router and the AiCloud service. The launch saw the attendance of Richard Chen, Product Manager, ASUSTeK Computer Inc., Taiwan, and Jacky Lim, Business Development Director, ASUSTeK Computer Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
The RT-AC66U comes with the ASUSWRT Dashboard UI that makes setting up, monitoring, and controlling all network aspects easy and intuitive. It is equipped with the 5th generation 802.11ac chipset for dual-band (2.4/5GHz) connectivity and speeds up to 1.75Gbps. The RT-AC66U is also one of the three routers from ASUS that is compatible with the new AiCloud service.
As for AiCloud, it is a cloud service that is compatible with the following three ASUS routers: the RT-AC66U, RT-N66U, and RT-N16. This service lets users access, store, and share any form of data on any desktop, notebook, or storage device that is attached to the aforementioned routers. With this service, users can also sync the contents of their WebStorage account, making it incredibly easy to access data and content from anywhere, anytime.
