ASUS Nexus 7 Outed in Benchmark, Runs on Android 4.1
The latest information on the Google Nexus tablet comes in a form of benchmark result posted on Rightware's Power Board. Labelled as Google ASUS Nexus 7, the tablet apparently comes with NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core 1.3GHz processor and a screen resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels.
Android Police went on further to unravel some raw information which points to the device code name: grouper. Google traditionally names its devices after fish names such as Wingray and Stingray for the Motorola Xoom, the Nexus One as Mahi-mahi and the G1 as trout.
The build number of the Google ASUS Nexus 7 is JRN51B, which is likely to be referring to the next Android version, Jelly Bean. The build and SDK versions also seem to suggest that Jelly Bean will be known as Android 4.1, not Android 5.0 as previously assumed.
The benchmark result and raw data goes in line with what was previously reported by TechnoBuffalo, where its sources claimed that the Nexus tablet will be built by ASUS and runs on NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor.
Well, it is less than a month away from Google I/O Conference and we are expecting to see more information leaking out on the Google Nexus tablet.
