Singapore – NVIDIA announced yesterday that Dell will be featuring NVIDIA GPUs in two of its latest PowerEdge tower servers. The two 12th generation PowerEdge servers, known as the PowerEdge R720 and PowerEdge T620, will be complemented by NVIDIA Tesla-series GPUs.
Both tower servers are designed to accelerate a wide range of computational-intensive applications, including Mathworks MATLAB and SIMULIA Abaqus. They will be powered by Intel’s Xeon E5/R CPUs and the 512-core NVIDIA Tesla M2090 GPU.
Virginia Swink, Executive Director of Dell Server Solutions said, “GPU computing is growing in demand and adoption based on its ability to provide a unique combination of ultra-high performance and energy efficiency.”
The Dell PowerEdge R720 supports up to two NVIDIA Tesla GPUs, while the Dell PowerEdge T620 supports up to four NVIDIA Tesla and/or Quadro-series cards.
