World's First 4K Projector by Sony Launched in Malaysia

 

In conjunction with the Kuala Lumpur International Audio Visual (KLIAV) show 2012, Sony Malaysia yesterday launched the world’s first SXRD true 4K (4096 x 2160 pixels) home theater projector here in Malaysia. Developed to be the best home theater projector in Sony’s lineup, the VPL-VW1000ES holds no punches in terms of features.

First of all it is equipped with the ability to project 4K visuals, thanks to three SXRD panels, Sony’s proprietary variant of liquid crystal display technology. It sports a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, has the ability to upscale HD content as well as support 3D content, and features an 18-piece lens structure with extra low dispersion glass.

The VPL-VW1000ES is now available in Malaysia at selected dealers for an SRP of RM74,999.
