WD Sentinel DX4000 Safeguards Your NAS Needs

Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaWestern Digital has introduced its latest NAS solution that is designed specifically for small-to-medium sized businesses. Known as the WD Sentinel DX4000, this NAS comes pre-installed with Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essential OS, and runs on Intel’s D525 Dual-Core Atom CPU. This NAS is capable of centralized shared storage as well as automatic server-based backup and restore for up to 25 devices – both PC and Mac – on the same network.

Several highlights of the WD Sentinel DX4000 include:

  • Support for RAID 1 and RAID 5
  • Automatic backup and recovery software provides system backups for up to 25 devices
  • Dual Gigabit Ethernet automatically switches to second network in the event of network failure
  • Optional Disaster Recovery Protection where users can store data on the cloud

The WD Sentinel DX4000 is currently available in 4TB and 8TB variants at an SRP of RM3,499 and RM5,099 respectively.
