Ultrabooks Popping Up As Part of Marketing Campaign

Ultrabooks Popping Up As Part of Marketing Campaign

To better promote the Ultrabooks, Intel has started to advertise on billboards. These billboards aren’t your average roadside billboards though, as they are made out of 60 Ultrabooks, and are hand-held by people. All 60 Ultrabooks are synchronized to become a single large display, easily attracting a large amount of attention no matter where they go. These series of unique advertisements is collectively known as the Ultrabook Pop Up Theater, and is designed to increased market awareness of the Ultrabooks.

Ultrabooks are a new category of portable computers inspired by Intel. Said to be the next generation in mobile computing, Ultrabooks are thinner, lighter, and perform better than traditional notebooks, while being more functional than tablets. Intel expects more than 75 designs to be available or at least be in development in 2012, and to reach mainstream status by the end of 2012.

Jayant Murty, Intel’s Asia Pacific Director of Brand Strategy and Integrated Marketing said, “We wanted to launch Ultrabook to the world in a fun and unexpected way. Ultrabook Pop Up Theater showcases the nature of these great new devices and demonstrates how they can inspire and delight us during everyday moments. “
