U Mobile Spreads Joy of Raya

U Mobile yesterday visited the Children’s Oncology Ward of University Malaysia Medical Center (UMCC) with the aim to spread the joy of Hari Raya. 24 children, along with their parents and guardians, and hospital personnel participated in the celebrations.

Jaffa Sany Ariffin, CEO of U Mobile Sdn Bhd said, “We are delighted to bring festive cheer to the children and their families and usher in an early Raya celebration.”

This initiative is part of U Mobile’s Corporate Social Responsibility, and is a follow-up on the launch of the U Mobile Surf Zone, which took place at the Children’s Oncology Ward earlier in June this year. The U Mobile Surf Zone is a free Wi-Fi service that utilizes U Mobile’s own 42Mbps network.

The availability of the U Mobile Surf Zone allows the patients and their parents or guardians to send personal Raya wishes to friends and families using a special app designed by U Mobile especially for the festive season. With this app, users with Facebook accounts can send Raya text, voice, or even video messages easily. This is made possible with the 10 sponsored tablet PCs from U Mobile.
