Toshiba Offers Versatile Ultrabook Offering

Malaysia – Following the launch of its Portégé Z830, Toshiba has just announced a new, versatile Ultrabook offering, the Satellite U840.

Encased in a slim, portable Ultrabook façade, the new U840 offers users the choice between a full SSD setup for storage, or even a HDD and SSD combo for those who desire more space without wanting to bump up the price too much.

Furthermore, the Ultrabook comes equipped with up to 2nd Generation Intel Core i5 processors and even up to 8GB of RAM.

Boasting the first 14-inch display for a Toshiba Ultrabook, the U840 is still only 19.9mm thick and weighs as little as 1.59kg.

“The Satellite U840 is the latest demonstration of Toshiba’s history of innovation and leadership in compact, no-compromise mobile technology,” said Wong Wai Meng, Senior Manager of PC Product Marketing, Toshiba Singapore Pte Ltd, Digital Products & Services Group. “We all want to look good on the move, but without compromising on the power or technology at our fingertips. The Satellite U840 is the new 14.0-inch style leader in the Ultrabook class, with the stunning design of this lightweight beauty matched only by the power of the notebook technology inside.”

According to local distributors, the new Toshiba Satellite U840 will be available March onwards at a recommended retail price starting at RM3,399.
