TomTom's New GPS Range Makes its Way to Malaysia

Malaysia – TomTom has just announced the addition of the TomTom Via 220, TomTom Via 260, TomTom Via 280 and the new Premium GO 2050 series for the Malaysian market.

TomTom Via Series

The new range of Via products combines an attractive design along with an easy- to-use interface. Also, these new devices come preloaded with maps of seven Southeast Asian countries for seamless navigation across country borders in the region.

The Via 260 and 280 even offers Bluetooth hands-free calling for Malaysian drivers, while all models come with TomTom’s tried-and-tested technology including a year’s worth of bonus maps, Spoken Street Names and a multitude of other navigation smarts.

With a 4.3-inch screen (Via 220 and 260) and a large 5-inch widescreen (Via 280), users will also be able to get a better view of their planned route.

These new offerings are already available at these RRPs:

TomTom Premium GO 2050 Series

In addition to the Via Series, the Premium GO 2050 Series also made its debut here in Malaysia. As the name suggests, these devices are designed to give users a “best-in-class navigation experience with sleek and accessible design,” according to Winnie Kwan, Senior Marketing Manager, TomTom Asia Pacific.

Featuring a 5-inch Fluid Touch screen, these GPS devices feature pinch gestures to zoom in and out of the maps and even comes with TomTom’s Easy Click magnetic mount that allows for easy docking.

The Premium GO 2050 series comprises the TomTom GO 2050 and the TomTom GO 2050 World, with the difference between the two being that TomTom GO 2050 World offers maps of 66 countries for international navigation.

“TomTom is constantly building on our mapping technology and updating our maps to ensure TomTom GPS devices provide drivers with the best navigation experience possible. We invest heavily in the quality of our maps to constantly add new street names, road information and points of interest (POI) and release four updated maps every year. The best map is the freshest map,” added Kwan.
