Sony Unveils New Walkman and Brand Ambassadors
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – From September 15 to September 18, Sony held its Walkman Roadshow 2011 in Sungai Wang Plaza. Each day was filled with exciting activities and promotions such as the Silent Disco Challenge, Fitness First Performance and much more. However, one of the most important events was held on the first day of the event, as Sony not only launched the new Walkman W260 series, but also announced its new brand ambassador, ThomasJack.
Like its predecessor, the W252 series, the NWZ-W260 is designed for music lovers with an active lifestyle in mind. It still shares the same superior sound quality, sophisticated design and enhanced features to provide users with an unparalleled audio experience. The new Walkman is also 25% lighter compared to its predecessor, weighs in at 32g and features a new comfortable ergonomic fit. Design-wise, it is smaller and features a more compact design and comes in four chic colors: Pink, Blue, White and Black.
Those who love listening to music while exercising will definitely love the fact that the NWZ-W260 is wireless, which ensures fuss-free music navigation. After an intense workout session, users will also be able to wash the NWZ-W260 as it is water-resistant. Battery life is definitely one of the NWZ-W260's strong points, as it can last up to 8 hours on a full charge. With its Quick Charge function, a mere three-minute charge gives it up to an hour of playback time.
Aside from the launch of the NWZ-W260, there was also an Early Bird promotion, which saw persistent customers waiting for hours to purchase the NWZ-W260 at RM1 and onwards. Fans of ThomasJack were also treated to performances from the talented duo, as well as a meet and greet session.
