Plantronics Launches the Marque M155 Bluetooth Headset

Malaysia – Just earlier today, Plantronics Malaysia launched its latest Marque M155 Bluetooth headset at the Bangsar Shopping Centre.

The Plantronics Marque M155 Bluetooth headset is one of the smallest and lightest offering in its category. Boasting a weight of only 7g, the unit also comes fully equipped with excellent sound quality through their 50 years of audio experience. The headset also features voice activation capabilities for answering and ignoring calls for Android, iOS and BlackBerry smartphones, while a downloadable app will configure your phone for Bluetooth pairing.

During the launch, Plantronics also wanted to highlight a new InstantMeeting application, which will aid business users in simplifying the process for participating in conference calls, where more often than not, an access code is needed.

This being Plantronic’s first media event in Malaysia, they also took the opportunity to introduce some of the company’s history and also the philosophy behind their strategies. Firstly, 2011 marks the 50th year of operation for them and currently they are still the only official aviation headset supplier for the US and they also play a big role in supplying NASA with communication equipment. In addition to this, they were incredibly proud to announce that as of today, all the companies in the Fortune 100 list are using Plantronics equipment.

As for future products, Alvin Kiew, Senior Regional Manager for South East Asia at Plantronics Singapore explained that Plantronics will be looking to develop more lifestyle features along with the technical aspects of their future products. He also added that, “the investment of Plantronics is not just in the headsets but also in the entire ecosystem surrounding these devices.”

The Marque M155 will be available starting mid-December 2011 at a recommended retail price of RM279 in either Jet Black or Arctic White colors.
