New HP Services to Reduce Multi-Vendor Woes

New HP Services to Help Reduce Multi-Vendor Woes

HP recently introduced the new HP Service Integration and Management services, offering enterprises the tools and processes to gain better insight and governance of suppliers, while at the same time help reduce risk and costs. With the recent rapid adoption of cloud computing, the business necessity of managing complex IT sourcing environments has become a pressing concern for CIOs.

“An end-to-end management solution to govern and measure multisourced IT environments will be critical to gaining timely service performance and financial information in order to optimize the IT supply chain and avoid the costs of supplier sprawl," added Will Cappelli, Garner's Research Vice President.

In creating an agile and easily managed IT environment, HP Service Integration and Management presents multisourced services – cloud services included – as a single view, as well as provides a roadmap that identifies the necessary processes for improving performance of multiple supplier environments, whether provisioned internally by IT or externally by non-IT business groups. Other advantages include:

  • Improved service performance by tracking performance status against operating budgets and business goals,
  • Decreased service disruption and related business risks by rapidly identifying those suppliers responsible for critical service interruptions,
  • Reduced IT maintenance costs through integration and centralization of multiple supplier services management.

“The lack of visibility into services delivered by multiple suppliers, including those from cloud providers, leads to inconsistent service levels across the organization and increases IT management risk and costs,” said Mike Ng, General Manager, HP Software for Southeast Asia.

HP Service Integration and Management offers real-time visibility into business service and supplier performance by providing an overall topology of IT services that enable organizations to proactively monitor their service delivery.
