A New Generation of the Art of Do with Lenovo

Lenovo has recently announced an exciting lineup of nine new PCs powered by the latest 3rd generation Intel Core processors for consumers and businesses. Unveiled at an exclusive event dubbed 'Unzip the Gold' at Black Box, MAP Publika in Solaris Dutamas, Lenovo's brand new range of PCs are built for just about any computing need, style and palette preference. In attendance was Khoo Hung Chuan, Lenovo Malaysia Country Manager, who was there to launch the new array of PCs.

 

"We see a PC+ evolution where the PC remains central to the digital lives of many people and businesses," said Khoo. "Our strategy remains consistent; we attack areas of greatest potential and protect areas where we have a strong lead. Lenovo is number two in the worldwide PC market and today we expand our lead into the notebook market by being one of the first to release PCs powered by the new 3rd generation Intel Core processors. "

Besides, being powered by the latest Ivy Bridge processors, Lenovo's new range of machines also tout the latest version of Lenovo Enhanced Experience (EE) 3, which has been specially designed for improved Windows 7 performance. EE3 certified products feature supreme Windows start-up performance and other optimization features like Lenovo's RapidBoot and BootShield technology., which can start a PC 40% faster than typical Windows 7 PC users.

Leading Lenovo's new lineup of PCs is its IdeaPad U Series Ultrabooks, which is available in two models - the IdeaPad U310 and U410. Without compromising on affordability, quality or style, Lenovo is bringing its customers and users into the era of thin, lightweight and ultra-responsive mobile computing. The IdeaPad U Series will begin rolling out in mid-June with full availability in July. Prices start from RM1,999.

Besides that, Lenovo has also announced the new IdeaPad Y Series - which comes in the form of IdeaPad Y480 and Y580 - as well as the IdeaPad Z480, providing the discerning consumers with a full spectrum of styles, colors and performance options to choose from when it comes to getting a new PC. The IdeaPad Y Series is already available in stores with a starting price of RM2,499.

Even the business professionals will have something to look forward to with the new ThinkPad T430 workhorse and the slim ThinkPad X230 notebook, which is touted to offer top quality mobile productivity and performance. Small and medium businesses can also look forward to the ThinkPad Edge E430 notebook and ThinkCentre E92 desktop, which are designed with the balance of design, power and price point in mind. Lenovo's ThinkPads will be available in mid-June and are available from as low as RM2,399.

In addition to the launch of the new PC products, Lenovo also kicked off one of its largest coordinated marketing campaigns - the Book of DO - in which they have partnered with MPH bookstores and three young, talented Malaysians to showcase their new IdeaPad U Series Ultrabooks. Through this campaign, Lenovo hopes to reach out to Malaysians through the lives of these three Malaysians who exemplify the 'Arts of DO' namely in writing, art and music. This includes popular tech and lifestyle blogger Galvin Tan for 'Storybook', digital artist Yvonne Yong for 'Sketchbook' and dynamic DJ duo LFL, which represents 'Songbook'.

Presented with the Lenovo IdeaPad U310, these three ambassadors will share their stories and experiences using the Ultrabook, and will be available on Lenovo Malaysia's Facebook Fan Page, as well as through their individual social networks. These ambassadors will also be conducting a series of Arts of Do workshops over the weekend of June 23 and June 24 at MPH bookstores, where they will be sharing their insights and secrets of their craft.
