Mechanical Gaming with the CM Storm QuickFire Pro

Early in April, peripheral manufacturer Cooler Master unveiled a new version of the popular CM Storm QuickFire Rapid mechanical gaming keyboard. Known as the CM Storm QuickFire Pro, this keyboard features the same high-quality build as the CM Storm QuickFire Rapid, and comes in different variants of Cherry MX switches, and has a numpad.

The keycaps on the CM Storm are laser-etched so that the keys don’t fade over time, though if they do get scratched or worn out, an extra set of keycaps and a key puller is bundled. There is a 1ms response time, a N Key Rollover when connected via USB, and has LED backlighting around the WASD cluster and selected keys to cater to gamers who are playing in low light conditions. There is also a detachable braided USB cable to make this keyboard as portable as possible.

Available since June at selected retailers, the CM Storm QuickFire Pro has an RRP of RM379 and comes with a one-year warranty. It is available in variants that come with Cherry MX blue, red, brown and black switches, though availability of each variant is dependent on region.
