LG's New IPS Monitors Made For a More Dynamic Viewing Experience

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – LG has just announced a new line of IPS4 monitors that utilize In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology instead of the conventional Twisted Nematic (TN) panels, which will extend the viewing angle to a wider 178-degree.

In addition to the wider viewing angle, the IPS4 also comes equipped with superb color reproduction, which makes it perfect for those engaged in photography or video editing. Furthermore, Smooth Color Change eliminates blur generated from rapid motion, which makes it great for watching sports or even playing video games.

With more and more users opting of a multi-monitor setup, the new IPS4 monitors also come with a host of dual screen features such as Dual Smart Solution that offers a one-click set-up to run dual monitors, and even creates a dual taskbar and auto-optimized dual web split screen; and Dual Screen, which optimizes the window size to automatically divide the screen to view multiple web pages.

“Despite strong sales and dominating the professional market, IPS monitors were less popular with the majority of consumers due to the cost of high-quality IPS panels,” said H.K. Kwon, Managing Director of LG Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd. “With the launch of the affordable IPS4 series, LG is taking a huge step in making IPS monitors ubiquitous in every room.”

The 23” LG IPS234V will be available starting June 2012 at a recommended retail price of RM537.
