Kingston's SSDNow V200 Gets Firmware Update

Kingston has just announced that it has released a new firmware update for the SSDNow V200 solid state drives. These updates will work for the 64GB and 128GB capacity options, but the 256GB version does not require this update.
Kingston reports that the update will increase the random write IOPS by 136 percent for the 64GB model, and 129 percent for the 128GB model. The random read IOPS, on the other hand, have increased 22 percent for the 64GB model, and 5 percent for the 128GB model, compared to the offerings running on the previous firmware.
The new firmware can be downloaded from the Kingston website for free.
