iPhone 5 to Be 18 Percent Thinner Than iPhone 4S?

Another day closer to September 12th, another rumor about the upcoming iPhone. This time, reports allege that the device will measure at a mere 7.6 mm thickness, a total of 18 percent thinner than the iPhone 4S's 9.3 mm frame. According to MacRumors, who took the information from scans of a Chinese-language newspaper, the phone is much bigger as well:

The newspaper report says consumers can expect three very big changes over the current iPhone 4/4S design:

The phone is much bigger, measuring 58.47 mm wide, 123.83 mm high and 7.6 mm thick. The screen is 4-inches.
The earphone jack has been relocated to the bottom of the phone.
The dock connector is much smaller, similar in size to micro USB.

Much of the news is old of course - the iPhone 5 has been previously reported on numerous occasions to come with both 4-inch screen and relocated headphone jack. On the other hand, a smaller dock connector has been more or less confirmed by Reuters so we are expecting to see that on the new iPhone. Yesterday's photo leaks of the iPhone's nano SIM tray also point to the existence of a thinner phone.
