GIGABYTE Showcases Next-Gen Motherboard Technologies

During the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, GIGABYTE debuted its 7 series motherboards and other technologies that will be implemented in its motherboard design in 2012 and beyond.

“We are very excited about the new technologies that will feature on our 7 series motherboards, and are confident that our customers will find them, together with the performance and feature improvements on Intel’s future platform, extremely appealing....Product development and debugging for the new features is progressing really well, and we expect to have a full range of products available globally by launch day,” said Henry Kao, Vice President of GIGABYTE Motherboard Business Unit.

With GIGABYTE's new Digital Power Engine called 3D Power, it allows users to control and monitor the power provided to the 2nd Generation Intel Core and next-generation processors using the LGA1155 socket, by providing users with control over all main onboard power zones.

Another technology introduced by GIGABYTE is 3D BIOS, which offers two distinct ways to interact with the BIOS: 3D Mode and Advanced Mode that redraws the typical BIOS user experience with more a intuitive graphical interface.

Other exclusive technologies introduced by GIGABYTE include the use of dual LAN configuration on Intel Gigabit and Killer Games Networking controllers. Besides that, GIGABYTE motherboards will also come with an exclusive PCIe expansion card that supports the latest use of Bluetooth 4.0 (Smart Ready) and Wi-Fi connectivity standard. In addition to the above, GIGABYTE 7 series motherboard will also have an onboard mSATA connector that allows users to connect mSATA SSDs.
