GIGABYTE Announces New Aivia Product Lineup at COMPUTEX 2012

Perhaps unknown to many, apart from motherboards, graphics cards and notebooks, GIGABYTE also makes a range of computer peripheral products such as keyboards and mice. This year, the company is make a big push in their peripheral business by announcing a new lineup of Aivia products.

Mechanical keyboards are all the rage these days and GIGABYTE is not about to be left out of the bandwagon. This is the Aivia Osmium, GIGABYTE’s newest flagship gaming keyboard. Apart from the usual gaming features such as multiple macro keys, the Osmium also features LED-backlit keys and comes with two analog wheels for adjusting brightness and volume control. The Osmium also uses Cherry MX red switches and in our brief encounter with the Osmium, we found it to be very tactile to use.

Following the Osmium, GIGABYTE is also launching a new gaming mouse called the Krypton. Unique to the Krypton is a hyper-sensitive 8200 dpi laser sensor. Furthermore, the chassis is customizable thanks to a 10-point weights system and swappable Teflon feets (speed or control).

Lastly, GIGABYTE is also introducing their SkyVision WS100 HD wireless kit. This nifty device lets you stream HD feeds wirelessly within a 10 meter radius. It supports full 1080p video feeds along with full 5.1-channel surround sound. GIGABYTE also says that the system has been optimized so that latency is reduced to a mere 1ms.
