Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Western Digital has unveiled the cloud-ready My Book Live Duo, which combines shared storage, remote access and double-safe backup protection through its dual-drive system. Compatible with PC and Mac, the My Book Live Duo continuously maintains a second copy of all files for real-time data backup in RAID 1 configuration. Windows users can opt to use the included WD SmartWare software for automatic backup, while Mac users can rely on Apple Time Machine to protect their data.

Thanks to its cloud capability, documents or media files that are stored on the My Book Live Duo can be accessed from anywhere through www.WD2go.com or with WD mobile apps for iOS and Android devices. The My Book Live Duo is also capable of streaming photos, music and videos to any DLNA-certified device, such as WD TV Live, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 or Smart TV.
