Advancement in consumer drone tech were one of the most interesting to track in the year of 2016, and this year, you’ll certainly see more refinements to these fun gadgets.

How does a sub-200 grams drone with a 13MP camera, auto tracking for smooth video shorts, motion guided control and palm-based take-off and landing sound? It gets even better – you can fold it up and fit it in your pocket (well, a loose front pant pocket).

Hand-sized when fully extended.

Here it is all folded up - ready to be tossed in your handbag or even your pocket.

Rechargeable lithium battery pack.

Zerotech’s Dobby pocket drone promises all of this for just US$399 (approx. RM1,786). This Qualcomm powered mini drone uses removable rechargeable lithium batteries so that you can buy extra packs to swap them out for longer continuous usage. Its 13MP camera allows you to capture 4K stills or Full HD videos with electronic mage stabilization. Controlling the drone is as simple as you expected – via a smartphone app.
