Annual KL 'Twestival' Raises Funds For Prihatin Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – The annual KL Twitter festival or 'Twestival' is back and will be held on March 24, 2011 at Finnegan's Irish Pubs & Restaurants, Mid Valley Megamall from 7.30pm onwards.

Each year, this event is held to raise funds for a local charitable organization and this year, they chose Pertubuhan Masyarakat Prihatin (Prihatin), an organization that seeks to care for single mothers and children living with AIDS/HIV as their cause.

During this event, local personalities such as Will Quah, who will play emcee, and Elaine Daly, who will be conducting the auction segment of the night, will be present and even local comedian Kuah Jenhan and Malaysian indie darling Liyana Fizi will be performing for the crowd.

Tickets for this event are available at a minimum donation of RM35 and all proceeds will go directly to Prihatin. Twestival Kuala Lumpur 2011 targets to raise RM12,000 in cash for the organization and this year, even the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) has come on board and pledged to match ticket sales up to RM5,000.

For those not in Kuala Lumpur, the Twestival will also be hosted simultaneously at two other states in Malaysia, Kota Kinabalu and Penang, and will also be raising funds for their respective local charity organizations.
