8 New Brother Monochrome Laser Printers Hit the SMB Market

Petaling Jaya, Malaysia – Brother International Malaysia has launched eight new monochrome laser printers targeted at the home/SOHO and SMB market at the PJ Hilton Hotel earlier today.

Yoshiaki Otsuka, Managing Director of Brother International Malaysia who was present to officiate the launch of the printers said, “Brother is At Your Side here today to help your business work ‘greener’. This is not just for the environment, but also to drive down overall costs with our Automatic Duplex printing feature in our new line of compact monochrome laser printers and Multi-Function Centers (MFCs).”

The HL2200 series consists of four monochrome laser printer solutions. The main highlight of the launch was the HL-2240D, which is the only printer in its price range to include auto duplex printing. The printer sells for RM 388. The HL-2130, on the other hand, represents an entry-level solution at only RM 288, and boasts a warm up time of less than 9 seconds. Furthermore, Stephanie Teoh, Product Manager, Laser Category of Brother International mentioned that this particular model is designed to convert inkjet users to laser printers. The HL-2250DN and HL-2270DW cost RM 458 and RM 498 respectively, and have a 26 ppm print speed and 32MB of memory. However, only the latter comes equipped with wireless print technology.

Also during the launch, Brother introduced another four monochrome laser printers, this time boasting multi-function capabilities. Aimed at an SMB level or higher, these printers include the DCP-7055 and DCP-7060D, which come at a RRP of RM 488 and RM 588 respectively, and boast 3-in-1 (print, copy and fax) function. The remaining two units, MFC-7360 and MFC-7860DW, on the other hand, come equipped with 5-in-1 function, which includes print, copy, scan, fax and PC fax, and cost slightly more at RM 888 and RM 1,388 respectively. Also, all of the Laser MFCs come complete with Energy Star approval and Deep Sleep mode in an effort to showcase Brother's commitment to its green claims.

All of the mentioned printers are currently available at Brother International Malaysia authorized resellers and superstores.
