It's been awhile since Project Ara was announced, but not one developer has been able to get hands-on time with the phone until earlier today, during the first day of the Project Ara Development Conference.
Biometrics security on smartphones isn't as secure as you'd like to think. Researchers from Germany-based Security Research Labs have managed to hack the fingerprint scanner on the newly launched Samsung GALAXY S5.
According to market research firm IHS, the new Samsung GALAXY S5 costs about US$256 to build, making it more costly to manufacture than the iPhone 5s.
