KL PIKOM PC Fair 2011 (III): Closing Report

And so, PIKOM PC Fair 2011 (III) finally came to a close on Sunday, after three long days of hot bargains, booth babes and bustling activity. Definitely one of the most anticipated IT extravaganzas of the year, the fair offered visitors from all walks of life a chance to not only experience the most advanced and latest in technology, but also buy state-of-the-art gadgetry and IT products at discounted prices.

Besides incredible deals, the fair also saw a host of other events including auctions, sales and demos, such as at the AMD room on Level 3, which held an Extreme Overclocking Demonstration on all three days. Featuring Looi Hou Tee - better known as dblooi in the forums - one of Malaysia's top overclockers ranked 142nd in the Global Overclockers League, the event saw an hour-long demonstration by Looi as he attempted to push the AMD FX 8150  processor, running on a GIGABYTE 990FXA-UD7 motherboard, to the extreme by clocking it up to 7GHz or more!

The evening also saw the start of the fire sales, which stirred the fair, as hardware and gadget prices were slashed by vendors to anticipate the end of the event.

All in all, it was an amazingly successful event, and HWM Malaysia, GameAxis and HardwareZone were able to get in touch with our subscribers and readers, as well as meet, greet and get to know some new faces. We had a great time, and we certainly hope that next year's PIKOM PC Fair will be just as exciting and fun!
