Welcome the New Performance Leaders
GIGABYTE has just concluded its latest ASEAN Plug-Fest 2011 in conjunction with the release of the latest Intel X79 chipset family products. Showcasing four motherboard models, namely the GA-X79-UD7, GA-X79-UD5, GA-X79-UD3 as well as the gaming-centric G1.Assassin 2, the company also held a benchmarking and overclocking workshop.
Showing off the capabilities of the Intel X79 chipset along with NVIDIA's GTX 570 and GTX 580 series graphics processors, the lucky members of the media and power users were also allowed to overclock the systems not only on air cooling, but also watercooling and even liquid nitrogen.
Whilst the benchmarking sessions were underway, GIGABYTE also introduced its three-way SLI solution using three 570 GTX graphic cards on the G1.Assassin 2 motherboard. The solution is enhanced with the new chipset making it capable of providing additional graphics performance than the outgoing solution.
The event was not only made successful with the help of NVIDIA. Partners Coolermaster and Corsair were also on hand to loan CPU coolers as well as Dominator GT memory and Force GT SSDs respectively.
