Getting Your Game On with GameAxis VERSUS
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – GameAxis Unwired Malaysia successfully launched its inaugural GameAxis VERSUS tournament, as well its annual GameAxis Survey Awards presentation. The event was held at the Blue Concourse of Sunway Pyramid, and saw the attendance of many local distributors and individuals related to the gaming industry. The event began with Lim Kuan Kuat, Editor of GameAxis Unwired Malaysia giving his welcome speech, after which he proceeded to give out the awards for the GameAxis Survey.
Apart from the GameAxis Survey Awards, the event also served as a platform for GameAxis to announce its revamp, which will feature a new name ("GAX") and brand new layouts.
The main highlight, however, was the launch of the GameAxis VERSUS tournament, the first cross-platform gaming tournament to be organized by the magazine. This year, VERSUS will feature Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and League of Legends for the PC, as well as Gran Turismo 5 for the PlayStation 3. The tournament begins March 24, so if you’re interested just head on over to the Blue Concourse of Sunway Pyramid and register from 10am onwards.
