GIGABYTE confirms that three of its Thunderbolt-enabled Intel Z77 motherboards support 4K resolution video displays. The tests were carried out at the company's testing facility in Japan on an Eizo FDH3601 4K display.

Sapphire's new Pure Platinum A85XT is a full sized ATX motherboard that supports AMD's latest generation APU A10/A8/A6/A4 series Trinity processors.
Rumor has it that ASUS is making a bid for the motherboard division of ASRock, with parent company Pegatron allegedly approved ASUS' bid. There are no official word from both parties at this moment in time.

Motherboard manufacturer GIGABYTE has just launched two new motherboards that support Intel's Wireless Display (WiDi) 2.0 technology. Known as the GA-Z77N-WIFI and the GA-H77N-WIFI, both these boards are mini-ITX boards, making them suitable for a variety of applications, including HTPCs.
