Intel Unveils Low-Power, High-Performance Silvermont Microarchitecture
Silvermont will be the foundation for Intel's range of innovative products that are beginning to come to market later this year, and will also be manufactured using the company's 22nm Tri-Gate SoC manufacturing process, which brings significant performance increases and improved energy efficiency.

Intel Teases Haswell Graphics Performance
Intel has released a series of graphics performance charts of its new Haswell processors, which will be launched on June 4. If the charts are anything to go by, Haswell could finally deliver performance equivalent to discrete graphics cards.

NVIDIA CEO Approached by Intel as Possible CEO Replacement
According to TechEye.net, NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang has been approached by headhunters who were looking to replace Paul Otellini as Intel's next CEO. Although this report warrants some doubt, it is not unthinkable as we reported last month that Intel was seriously considering outside candidates for its top job.

Caltech Researchers Unveil Self-Healing, Self-Monitoring Microchip
Researchers at California Institute of Technology (Caltech) recently revealed a self-healing microchip that also has the ability to monitor its own status. If the chip is damaged, it reconfigures itself with the help of a secondary chip in order to come up with new ways to continue to perform its tasks.
