Having sworn that they would never attempt an eight-core processors, it seems that Qualcomm is breaking that promise with its latest Snapdragon processors.
According its leaked roadmaps, Intel's Next Unit of Computing (NUC) will be refreshed with Broadwell processors, as early as the fourth quarter of this year.

AMD has announced the immediate availability of two new Opteron 6300 series processors: the 12-core 6338P and the 16-core 6370P chips, which are based on the Piledriver 32nm microarchitecture. According to AMD, these Socket G34 chips are optimized to deliver improved performance per-watt for hardware virtualization.

Intel is reportedly having plans to refresh its current Intel Core Haswell processors with a slew of new SKUs in May. In addition, the chip maker will also ship the new Z97 and H97 chipsets to board manufacturers in preparation for the next generation Broadwell processors.
